Free Pre-Rinse Spray Valve Replacement Program for Commercial Kitchens
Water for Tomorrow is pleased to announce that beginning on July 27, 2009 York Region, in partnership with Enbridge Gas Distribution, will replace existing pre-rinse spray valves with high-efficient models in eligible York Region commercial kitchens -- absolutely free!
A pre-rinse spray valve is a handheld device that uses a "knife edge" spray of water to remove food waste from dishes prior to cleaning in a commercial dishwasher. These valves are one of the easiest and most cost-effective energy and water saving devices available to a food service business. Depending upon your water usage, you can cut down on your kitchen's operating costs by more than $1400* for kitchens that heat water with natural gas and $3000** for kitchens that heat water with electricity!?
The free installation of these low-flow pre-rinse spray valves, valued at $150, will help you conserve water, energy and operating costs and your staff will find the new spray just as efficient as standard sprays. In fact, many restaurant workers prefer using the "knife-edge" spray as they can adjust the width just by raising or lowering the nozzle from the dish surface.
Please see program eligibility requirements below to find out if your restaurant or food service business is eligible to receive a free pre-rinse spray valve. If so, contact a York Region, Water for Tomorrow representative today to co-ordinate your installation visit!
