Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Clothes Washer Replacement Program Terms and Conditions
1. Purchase must be made between January 1, 2012 - December 31, 2012. All submissions must be received within 90 days of the date indicated on the proof of purchase. Final submission date is March 31, 2013. Submissions received longer than 90 days after the indicated purchase date cannot be honoured.
2. Purchase must be of a qualifying clothes washer meeting ENERGY STAR® specifications in effect as of January 1, 2011 during the promotional period and be installed in an industrial, commercial and/or institutional facility within The Regional Municipality of York. 3. Copy of Proof of Purchase document (sales receipt) must clearly indicate: name, address, and phone number of retailer and/or contractor; date of purchase; clothes washer model name, manufacturer, and model number; and number of qualifying clothes washers purchased.
4. Application form must be completed in full.
5. An applicant may submit more than one application provided that the application pertains to different clothes washers in the same building.
6. The property where the clothes washer(s) are installed must be an industrial, commercial, and/or institutional facility located within The Regional Municipality of York.
7. This promotion is applicable to industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities only and is not available for single-family residences or multiple unit residences or contractors.
8. Offer valid only for clothes washers installed as retrofits in existing industrial, commercial, and/or institutional facilities. Clothes washers purchased for new construction do not qualify.
9. The Regional Municipality of York does not warrant the quality of workmanship, the suitability of the premises or the clothes washer for installation, or that the performance of any clothes washer or its installation will be free of defects.
10. The applicant shall indemnify and hold harmless The Regional Municipality of York, its officers, council members, partners, agents and employees, from and against all liabilities and damages, in any way based upon or attributable to, the applicant's participation in the Water Efficient Clothes Washer Rebate Program.
11. The Regional Municipality of York reserves the right to alter, cancel or discontinue this program at any time and to reverse the rebate if the information provided by the applicant is either incorrect, or untrue, or if the Terms & Conditions of this program have not been met.
12. Applicant must provide proof of business location and ownership of facility or building through the submission of the most recent property tax bill from one of York Region's nine municipalities; confirmation that the clothes washer being removed are top loading clothes washers.
13. Prior to approval of rebate, applicant must submit an invoice for purchase and/or final installation of a qualifying clothes washer dated within 90 days of the submission of the application.
14. Prior to approval of rebate, applicant must agree to an onsite verification of 10 percent of the new fixture installations in each building within 30 days of application if the applicant is applying for rebates of 10 or more clothes washers.
15. The Regional Municipality of York reserves the right to inspect the installation of the clothes washer(s). This may include an inspection of the residence/building to monitor and evaluate efficiency of the unit(s).
