Teachers

• The York Children's Water Festival is offered free of charge to all Grade 4 York Region students.
• We will arrange free busing for students, teachers and supervisors.
• Students will experience approximately 50 activities that provide students with hands-on, interactive opportunities to learn about water conservation, water protection and related environmental issues.
• Activities meet Ontario Curriculum expectations.
• Teachers must provide a minimum of 1 adult supervisor for each 8 students participating in the festival.
• Students participating on our opening day (usually the Tuesday) will be invited to submit an entry to our Poetry Contest.
• Winning poets will participate in our Opening Ceremony and their poem will be permanently placed in our Poetry Forest at Bruce's Mill Conservation Area.
