forking garden patchWater for Tomorrow has a Grade 7 curriculum package available free of charge to teachers in York Region. Using the theme of water conservation, it has been developed to meet the specific Ontario provincial curriculum requirements for science and geography.

The curriculum package contains detailed lesson plans, digital pdfs, a video and other tools to be used in conjunction with student activity books.

In addition, Water for Tomorrow offers the following supplement to the Grade 7 program:

The Water for Tomorrow Student Calendar Contest
  • York Region Grade 7 students are invited to create and submit a water-themed drawing
  • 12 illustrations are selected for publication in the Water for Tomorrow promotional calendar the following year
  • Students who have submitted winning entries will receive a monetary prize and copies of the calendar for their entire class
  • Each submission must be made on the Official Drawing Paper for the Water for Tomorrow Student Calendar (digital copy available below)
  • Drawings submitted to the calendar contest become property of York Region

The drawing paper must be printed on 11'x17' paper ('Tabloid') with no page scaling. Entries submitted on other paper sizes can not be accepted.
